Exchange and return policy The Hahnemann Pharmacy

You may wish to return an item because you no longer need it or do not wish to use it. The Civil Code states that if you have ordered something remotely, you have 14 days from the date of receipt to change your mind. Within this period, you may cancel the purchase without giving any reason.

However, there are a number of exceptions to this. Two of these apply to medicines, vitamins, food supplements and similar products, namely:

  1. Products that are not suitable for return for health or hygiene reasons
  2. Products that have been specially made for someone

We only dispatch products once. Once an item has left the pharmacy and is returned, we will not dispatch that item to anyone else. After all, we can no longer guarantee its quality, even if the seal is still intact. Various factors can negatively affect the efficacy of products (such as high temperatures or sources of radiation, like a microwave). We take as little risk as possible with the items we supply to you. Surely you wouldn’t want to receive ‘second-hand medicines’ when you can’t be sure they still do what you bought them for or what your healthcare professional recommended?

We regularly supply products that have been specially manufactured for someone, following a prescription or medical advice. It goes without saying that we cannot accept returns of this type of ‘custom-made medicine’.

Of course, there may be exceptions. A prescriber may have made a mistake, or we may have made an error. A bottle may also have broken during transport. In such cases, we will always try to find a suitable solution. Please contact us, preferably by email (info@hahnemann.nl). This will give us time to carefully investigate and assess the situation.

To avoid disappointment, we advise you to think carefully about the number of packs you order of a particular remedy. For example, your doctor may issue a prescription with 4 refills. Due to the order and delivery charges, you may decide to have all the packs sent at once, but it can sometimes happen that during a second consultation you are told to stop taking the medicine in question. In that case, there is a chance that you will be left with one or more packs. You cannot return these packs to us. Saving €4.95 in order and delivery costs could then have costly consequences.
